Privacy policy
Thank you for visiting our website. It is important to us that your personal information is protected and that you feel secure when visiting our website. Therefore, we have compiled some important information here about the data that is, in compliance with data-protection regulations, captured, processed and used when our website is visited.
Capturing, processing and using personal data
You can use our website without providing any personal information. We only store anonymised access data. This data is used exclusively to enhance our offering and cannot be traced back to you.
Using Facebook plugins
Plugins from the Facebook social network, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, US are included on our website. The plugin creates a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server when you visit our website. As a result, Facebook is notified that your IP address has visited our website. If you click on Facebook’s like button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our website on your Facebook profile. Facebook can then associate visits to our website with your user account. We would like to point out that as a provider of the website we are not given any details by Facebook about the data transmitted or how it is used.
For more information see Facebook’s privacy policy at: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php
If you do not want Facebook to be able to link visits to our website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.
Google Analytics
Our web pages use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer that allow an analysis of how you use our website. The information generated by the cookie on your use of our website is usually sent to a Google server in the US and stored there. Because IP addresses on our website are anonymised, in the member states of the European Union or in other states who have signed the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Google will truncate your IP address beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and truncated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse how you use our website in order to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services to us associated with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address sent by Google Analytics from your browser will not be combined with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being stored by making an appropriate setting to your browser software; we would like to point out however that in this case you might not be able to use all of this website’s functions in their entirety. You can also prevent the capture of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin in the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.
You can find more information about this at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html
or at https://www.google.de/intl/en_uk/policies/ (general information on Google Analytics and data privacy).
We would like to point out that on our website “gat._anonymizeIp();” code has been added to Google Analytics to allow anonymised capture of IP addresses (which is called IP masking).
